Adventures in the Spiral

Some time ago, a most talented writer posted some great fan fiction on a fan site for Wizard101. The stories revolved around the main character of Kane Dragonblood (yes, a real character on the game), and this characters quest against one or two evil, diabolical persons (also real characters on the game). The story was divided into three books, with about 13 chapters per book, for a page total of about 50 or 60 pages per book.

While that may sound long, it was amazing reading and you just flew through the stories with action, humor, romance, and great dialogue.

Anyhew, with the help of that writer, and a number of highly dedicated friends, myself and a number of pals have taken to making a comic book using those characters. The story of our comic book takes place prior (for people needing to understand the timeline) to those stories. The comic book involves screen shots, edited a little bit, from the game Wizard101 itself.

As you might guess, we got pretty creative with the screen shots, and spent a lot of time mapping and planning each shot to how it would work into the story we set up. This turned out to be not easy, with a lot of photo bombing from other players and NPC villains tromping around in the background.
